Why I hate apologizing

Okay, so the first step in recovery is to admit you have a problem. The thing I hate about admitting I have a problem is that it often time lets others off the hook, when they are clearly in part to blame. There's nothing worse than facing your short-comings, admitting you are to blame, apologizing to someone for your errors in judgement, laying it all out, and then the rat bastards just go, "Ok, I forgive you" and never cop to their share of the culpability!

"Wait!," I want to say. "You are just as much to blame!" I want to point out. But nothing ruins an apology more than an explanation. So then I walk away often times even more ticked off than I was to begin with.

How is that even fair?

So, if ever I have done anything you think was fouled up and I owe you an apology, here's a corporate, "Ok, so I admit I was wrong."

That's going to have to do for now while I am still working on being a better person. Hint, I'm not there yet!
